Offering adult art classes, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, tours, special events, gifts and wedding rentals, the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center is a hub of artistic activity and inspiration in Columbus. Come visit us and learn more!

Our Specialties

We’re an art gallery featuring contemporary art that highlights local, regional and national artists. We provide hands-on instruction, a learning hub and creative space. We are diverse, receptive and friendly. Our community is hobbyists, designers, artists, makers and art lovers.

Monday | 1-4 p.m. & 7-10 p.m.
Tuesday – Thursday | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. & 7-10 p.m.
Friday & Saturday | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday | Closed

Our roster of class instructors is a collection of some of the finest artistic teaching talent around. These accomplished faculty members – alongside our dedicated administrative staff – help establish the Cultural Arts Center as one of the best places in central Ohio and beyond to view, create and learn about art.

WEDDING RENTALS

We offer a variety of venue rental options for weddings at the Cultural Arts Center. Our Courtyard, Main Gallery and Loft Meeting Room can all be rented.  Take a look at our options for price, group size and more.

About Priscilla R. Tyson

A lifelong resident of Columbus, Priscilla R. Tyson’s career has spanned over four decades, touching the sectors of banking, healthcare, public service, the arts, local government, and human services. Her dynamic career includes more than 16 years of distinguished service in banking and healthcare, before helping to found and lead City Year Columbus – an organization that inspires diverse young people, and helps them understand the importance and impact of community service. While serving as the Executive Director of City Year Columbus, Tyson became a member of The Columbus Civil Service Commission, appointed by then Mayor Greg Lashutka. After 13 years at Civil Service, she was appointed to Columbus City Council in January of 2007, and then popularly elected by the citizens of Columbus in November of the same year. Since her initial election, Columbus City Council Member was reelected by the voters three more times, being the top vote-getter in each election.
