* The CAC accepts exhibition proposals from local, area, and national artists.
* A team of CAC administrators and faculty act as the selection team and review
each proposal received.
* We typically schedule exhibits 12 to 18 months in advance.
|
We ask that each proposal include:
* 10-20 slides (preferred) or a CD of your work
* a resume
* an artist statement
* a history of your past exhibits
* a schedule of your future exhibits in and around Columbus
* other documentation that will hlep us know you and your work. |
| We make exhibit choices based on several factors: |
* Appropriateness for our public facility and gallery space.
* Quality of artistic expression and level of execution of the medium.
* Assessment of whether your work somehow enriches our audience and makes an impact.
* How your work is different from exhibits we have shown in the past.
* Where you have shown or will be showing your work in the Columbus area.
* Last (and least) is whether your work is sellable - Will it benefit the CAC in both showing
good work and bringing in revenue? |
|
Currently, we are reviewing proposals already submitted for our 2009 exhibit year. You are welcome to send your proposal but it must be received immediately. Keep in mind that what you send for review is the artwork that you must exhibit. You cannot be accepted for one body of work and then exhibit another without a second review and approval.
